Management at the director level and above is typically the worst combination of cocky, amoral, and incompetent. Ideas or projects are often initiated with little to no supporting data and the work/stress needed to make up for management's poor decisions rolls downhill. Compensation doesn't come close to making up for the poor work-life balance and layoffs are a constant fear.
