Pros
Not many come to mind. Good salaries and decent benefit programs--that's about it.
Cons
"Incompetence" would be too kind a word to describe senior and executive management at Avid. Poor performance by management is consistently rewarded and reinforced. The SVP of sales stays on, and enjoys his $1M+salary, despite not making quota. He'd be gone in any real company. Marketing and Product Management are no better--truly "out of their league." The recent announcement selling off the consumer business is the first good idea to come out of this management team in 5 years--though it's too late to save. The company is in BIG trouble. Don't be lured in--you're better off being unemployed, because you will be soon if you start with Avid. Virtually all of the good talent has been let go, or is actively pursuing other work. There will be very little left soon.
