Pros

Meaningful mission and work. Supportive environment. Company embraces people from different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences creating an inclusive and welcoming culture.

Cons

The industry itself is challenging and constantly evolving, which requires people to adapt quickly and navigate ongoing change. This can be demanding at times, but it also creates learning opportunities and innovation.

Pros

The platform/EMR is top tier. Feedback is well received from the developer team and changes/updates/optimizations are implemented on a very regular basis to meet patient and provider needs. The mission and goals are rewarding. It feels great to be a part of providing care to those who truly need it. Patients are often very appreciative. Company leadership makes an effort to be involved in a way that they are acutely aware of what is going on, but they are not inserting themselves in matters that they have no expertise in. The VP of Clinical Services serves as a great liaison between the clinical staff and the executive team. The services offered have continued to expand to meet the needs of the patients. The company does seem to be forward-thinking in how they want to be positioned for now as well as the future. Most of the providers foster a very helpful environment. Many have experience in various aspects of the care provided, and are more than willing to help out a colleague who may be less familiar. Because the company offers services to patients from Florida to Alaska, there's a lot of opportunity to work hours that fit the needs and licenses you have.

Cons

Some providers have overstayed their welcome. Most are great team players and foster a collegial environment. A few, however, probably should have been let go a long time ago, and now are just doing the bare minimum while others pick up the slack. Some were given more responsibility than they earned, and use their "power" to obstruct progress for the company. The support and MA staff have a higher turnover than would be ideal.

Pros

Flexibility and long lasting friendships in the community.

Cons

There are so many cons that I will just highlight a few. 1. Management pretends to care about the community but really only cares about the investment firm - which is known by everyone but only discussed at the senior leadership level 2. No established review or promotion strategy. Promotions are subjective and not based on company or individualized goals - titles mean absolutely nothing because promotions and titles are blindly assigned - with no organized process or explanation. 3. Company”goals” do not focus on anything internal and only focus on external factors to check a box - goals are not about employees, their growth, professional development or overall performance improvement but instead focus on what has already been done and not what needs to improve 4. Toxicity runs most departments and escalation procedures are laughable. Management has the ability to blame without merit and HR turns a blind eye. 5. Absolutely no strategy for growth, marketing or sales… which makes sense because a strategy would hold individuals responsible and that’s not how ACS operates. 6. Benefits are absolutely atrocious.
