Pros

The ministry mission is great!

Cons

Senior leaders are making poor business decisions especially with finances and people management. Example: Money was spent on a new area for Sr. Leaders. The "new" culture two or three people tried to implement isn't any better than what leaders tried to replace. The "new" culture is, do what two or three people want and you might get to keep your job. Every few months it's the same story; sales are down, donations are down so departments have to give back budget, more positions are eliminated and people are moved around. Then more work is put on those that are left. Eventually a new person is hired, cheaper than the previous one.

Pros

I can't say enough good things about working at Awana. The staff are incredibly friendly, relational, and delightful to work with. The leadership team has a compelling vision for the future of the organization and commitment to the mission of child discipleship. The reach of the organization has grown exponentially in recent years and has no sign of slowing down. God is at work in and through Awana. I hope you can join the team and contribute to this remarkable mission and team.

Cons

I cannot think of any cons to working at Awana. The culture is highly positive and the team is remarkable!

Pros

I had a great experience working there. Despite being a big company there were lots of ways to stay connected to leadership.

Cons

Remote first work isn’t for everyone!
