Pros

Best reason? A paycheck. They pay fairly. Office area is nice. There are some window offices. A positive and a negative is that salary adjustments are done based on how well you schmooze your manager. Keep him/her happy and you'll get paid well. Of course if you can't keep them happy, your paycheck suffers.

Cons

Management is clueless about new product development. They grant wide latitude to managers (one in particular) who know even less about product development. Theory X management reigns - they expects long hours and working through weekends as a sign of "accomplishment". Fear, uncertainty and doubt are the fuel for this environment. Cafe food stinks and you can't bring food in.

Can be very accommodating for time off if and when needed. Decent benefits as well.

Cons

Multiple stacks of management. Huge politics involved throughout higher management, especially in Manufacturing. No real track of progression or a place to grow within the company. Management does not reward hard work and beats around the bush once comes time to Salary Planning.
