Pros

Plenty of talented people there to work with. Interesting technology. Has made a large investment to revamp its product offerings.

Cons

Has been in cost cutting mode for a couple of years. Semiconductor industry subject to big swings up and down. Axcelis fell behind in its product technology and is trying to get its newest offerings accepted by the market place. The jury is still out.

Pros

Can be very accommodating for time off if and when needed. Decent benefits as well.

Cons

Multiple stacks of management. Huge politics involved throughout higher management, especially in Manufacturing. No real track of progression or a place to grow within the company. Management does not reward hard work and beats around the bush once comes time to Salary Planning.
