Pros
Axos Bank is not shy about it's culture and the fact we are a meritocracy. Meaning, if you perform well and give great end result, you will be rewarded for your exceptional hard work with $$$. Last year when I was looking for a career change, I had a multitude of SaaS sales experience, but very little banking experience. I was extremely happy they considered me for business development / sales at the bank and focused on my strengths and relationships rather than my banking experience. This allowed me to learn and grow into the position and use my skillset of Salesforce management, business development, expo/conference expertise, etc. Even though there was a leadership change within our vertical, we were able to bounce back quickly and become even stronger than before. This is a big deal when adversity strikes an organization...and to see it go well is a stress relief. The biggest thing, and I hope they will expand this as the years continue, but I am able to work completely remotely from where ever I want. My role is based on consistent KPI's daily and new relationships being brought into the fold of conversation through meetings. I've noticed there aren't too many other BDO's who are remote which is a shame, because if you are disciplined, experienced, and a self-starter, you can do this role from anywhere.
Cons
-I'm hopeful they will add more BDO roles as full remote
