Pros
- Ex-Detica people still around, so bright people to learn from. - Still have kit kats - Roof terrace - Interesting projects (though getting rarer) - Career Management programme really good. People have more consistency throughout their career path.
Cons
- Calibre of people going downhill - Pay is going down - used to get decent 6 monthly pay rises for junior staff! No bonuses for half the staff this year - Inexplicable strategy of 'growing' with no investment in office space, video conferencing. Good luck getting a meeting room in <2 weeks notice - Getting more process heavy / BAE like. Took months trying to convince legal/commercial to let us use AWS as an environment. WTF? - Not enough desks - seen people having to sit at break out tables in Bluefin! - No decent tech for developers - Internal functions / support staff seem to have more power than fee earners - how come they get permanent desks?
