Pros
Cross training available Decent pay raises Good supervisors and managers
Cons
Relctant to convert contract to full employee (they'll keep extending contract rather than give you a job until you attempt to quit) Often slow when contracts are few or unavailable, forcing you to make up "busywork" or purposefully work slowly. This leads to problems because: They hypermonitor every step in production. They track the time form clock-in to start of a project, how long a step takes, etc. If these vary too much from the "ideal average" they have determined something should take, you'll get talked to. Good supervisors understand and will help you out. Bad managers will use this to justify adverse actions against you.
