Pros
There are no pro's to working in the environmental department at BAE Systems. You would like this job if you enjoy hypocrisy, managers who yell and scream, vague goals, poor leadership and mediocre project results due to the environmental manager. Be prepared to get a handout on respect in the workplace before managers scream obscenities at employees in staff meetings.
Cons
The environmental department manager and their direct supervisors were some of the worst leaders and managers I have ever met. A person that is notably poor at managing themselves and a team is allowed to drive a key compliance department at the Jacksonville shipyard into the ground. However, the real issue is the HR department and leadership group that allows bullies and toxic leadership to fester and ruin the organization. I would not recommend working in the environmental department at this shipyard to anyone.
