Pros

Decent salary, subpar health benefits, my team and bosses were awesome, and severance package when corporate randomly decides to lay you off, uprooting your life was also decent.

Cons

Corporation does not care about you. Will lay an employee off without warning, without good reason, and without informing the managers that worked closest with their team. HR waves their mighty hand and employees vanish… poof… you could think you’re safe and your managers think you’re safe but you never know when they’ll strike and force cuts even when your department is exceeding all sales goals. They reward excellent performance with lay offs and then force management to read from scripts to terminate you while someone from HR watches to make sure they don’t deviate from the script. The worker and the supervisor may be in tears. Corporate doesn’t care. If you like to gamble your financial stability and job security, get a job at BD.

Pros

Chaotic environment forces quick growth. Treat it as a resume builder and then find a more stable opportunity.

Cons

Constant backorders due to poor management. Likely to have more changes in leadership team(s) than years spent at the company. Unethical leaders that act like high school bullies and cling to titles rather than create a supportive environment. Employees constantly left in the dark due to lack of meetings or failure of leaders to even learn what their teams are working on. Constant reorgs with no consideration of impact to teams or business continuity. Frequent cases of falsified performance reviews to push out whistleblowers with complicit HR teams. Quality policy is a joke. RTO push to high COL areas with no relocation support, onboarding, seat and laptop assignment - only to lay off entire teams within a year just to repost the same position and ask laid off employees to re-apply.
