Pros

I have been with BEST crowd management for 2 years and from the time I started to now I have always been treated well. Management is always happy and appreciative for the employees that work. They are willing to help with scheduling if there is a conflict and don’t make you feel bad for it. You can pick your schedule so you can work as much or as little as you want which is awesome because for a lot of us it is our “fun” job or something to do after you retire. These people have basically became my home away from home. We laugh, have fun but always make sure we do our job first. The management and the company take care of you like you are family. They also have a lot of cool opportunities like meeting some famous people or traveling the US to help other branches of BEST out. I have had the options to travel to Ohio, Tennessee, Iowa, and Indiana.

Cons

The only con I have is sometimes parking can be a little bit of a struggle. Sometimes the parking is very far but they always do their best to try to get the price reduced or even free to keep us coming.

Pros

There are job advancement opportunities if you work there long enough.

Cons

The initial red flag I notice in orientation was how much profit was emphasized in orientation/training. Which played out to be on brand because the major concern was getting people to post rather than an emphasis on actual job training. A new hire who’s never worked a large event…. Doesn’t matter…. Get them to post. And as you can imagine, issues arise and someone’s going to get chewed for it. There isn’t a true concern about having a good product just putting bodies in a spot to fulfill a staffing order. There aren’t concise and well thought out plans for actually solving issues, it’s typically a figure it out without compromising the bottom line approach. There isn’t much of a “let’s figure this out together” and move forward mentality. Many grew their careers within the BEST bubble, which does show availability of career growth but on the flip side there isn’t much diversity of thought on attacking opportunities/issues. Much more of a let’s do what we’ve always done and hope for the ‘best’ and a sigh of relief if things go well and a witch hunt when the obvious high probability thing happens. A work day feels like battling complacency, tight budgets, and cliquey behavior.
