My experience within site operations is very different to Perth. The site I am working on is toxic and un pleasant. I have noticed raising problems, questioning decisions or bringing up ideas is not welcomed by leaders. At times, it felt safer to stay quiet than to challenge the status quo. One of the most disappointing aspects is seeing genuine problems become discussions about the person raising them rather than the substance of the issue itself. If you are naturally curious, improvement-focused or willing to challenge existing practices carefully assess the culture of the team you're joining. These issues run from the top all the way to the teams.
