Pros
BMO is supportive when it comes to work/life balance and flexible working arrangements. The sales pressure from management is more reasonable than some of the other banks. There are fewer dramatic shifts in strategy when compared with some of the other banks. It can be a good place to work if local management is of high quality.
Cons
A weak performance culture allows pockets of incompetence to thrive in the company. There is not enough emphasis placed on customer service. Lending guidelines are very conservative, which makes it more difficult to book business. Computer systems are old and software is poorly designed.
