Pros

People were great, local managers were awesome. Exciting environment, felt like I was really making an impact as a well respected member of the local team. Fair amount of autonomy.

Cons

Corporate micromanages from Fort Worth and makes decisions without consulting local leaders which leaves local leaders in the dark with their pants down. Morale was constantly low in the shop due to these issues, as much as local management tried, craft employees had little to no confidence in the company or management which made the environment painful. The company didn't utilize the massive amount of data available to them and corporate never understood what was driving metrics because they never cared to ask. I came out of their college management trainee program and although there was plenty of talk about how they take care of their degreed managers, when it came down to it that didn't matter. I had the pleasure of laying off 80% of my shift then got a phone call in the AM that I was being let go too and local management didn't even know it was coming. I worked my butt off going the extra mile and taking promotions and was rewarded with unemployment. Good riddance Fort Worth, good luck with PSR...

Pros

Great people and strong coworkers across the organization. The company offers competitive pay, strong benefits, and good overall stability. There are many experienced employees who care about the work and are willing to help others succeed.

Cons

The organization can be very hierarchical, which sometimes makes it difficult to drive change or move quickly. Decisions often require multiple layers of approval, so it can take longer than expected to finalize direction or make progress. There is also limited flexibility compared to what many other companies offer, especially when it comes to working arrangements.
