Pros

The people we work with make it tolerable however most of the good leaders and those with a work ethic have left or are aggressively looking for other employment. We have a very very small group of Superintendents that treat their subordinates decent and have compassion and empathy for others but again they tend to leave for other employment.

Cons

Where do I start !! Constant fear of harassment, you get disciplined for having a dr note to stay home pending Covid test results - they send you investigation letter to appear in kangaroo court. The executive team had destroyed morale with both scheduled and Exempts. Managers quit regularly and even more TYE resign. You spend your whole career working by the phone and just as you get seniority to hold a regular job they cut it. They send managers to people leader training then handcuff them to a desk and the only thing they can lead is YOU to get batteries and PPE. MORALE is at an all time low and we are plagued with mental health struggles. Two of my fellow rails committed suicide this year and it directly relates to employment here.

Pros

Great people and strong coworkers across the organization. The company offers competitive pay, strong benefits, and good overall stability. There are many experienced employees who care about the work and are willing to help others succeed.

Cons

The organization can be very hierarchical, which sometimes makes it difficult to drive change or move quickly. Decisions often require multiple layers of approval, so it can take longer than expected to finalize direction or make progress. There is also limited flexibility compared to what many other companies offer, especially when it comes to working arrangements.
