Terrrible Co., incompetent senior management - Senior Developer BNY Employee Review

Almost all development is done in India, they continue to shrink the US employment base. I was the only "onshore" resource on the team that I worked for. This is a common occurrence. It means that you will be stuck doing fringe work because it's difficult to collaborate in the limited hours that you overlap India, especially given the heavy accents and poor audio quality of the conference bridge. They have implemented stack ranking where managers are forced to rank 10 percent of staff as below expectations even after they have already fired the real under-performers. They then proceed to lay off the 10 percent. This Co. is incredibly siloed and bureaucratic beyond description.
