Pros

- My co-workers are / were all hard-working folks that went above and beyond everyday for the company.

Cons

- Things shifted about 4 years ago. In my case, managers were replaced with people that may have been talented but seemed to have never worked with people before. Rude and obnoxious to those that report to them. Manager should not need to yell / berate employees one on one or in public. Should not silently mock (make faces) while employees that are dialed in are speaking. - CEO pushed for open work areas, eliminated WFH, some WFH employees were let go only to have CEO opinion about WFH reversed after lawsuits. - Company policy to rate employees has changed over the years. At one point I was told 'meets expectation' became the new 'exceeds expectations'. More recently managers told they must give some percentage of employees 'below expectation' rating . - Morale low due to constant threat of layoffs

Pros

There is real opportunity for career and skill growth. The company runs short on head count, so people willing to take on more responsibilities have avenues to progress. However, you will need to force the issue for promotions & large salary increases after you prove your capabilities. Realistically it'll take an external counteroffer to move the needle.

Cons

It's a large bank and you're a number in the system. If your NPV is positive you'll stay, else you'll be laid off. This includes both scenarios you control and those you don't. Ex. You control your performance, in office time and networking You don't control if your location is a strategic growth site, if a major client goes with a competitor, or if you'd be impacted by a general company-wide layoff plan.
