Great coworkers Great immediate management/team lead

Cons

Forcing us to return to office despite being more productive in a WFH capacity Forcing employees to return to offices with not enough parking (expensive garages with not enough spaces) or desk space Raises are not raises, they don't come close to inflation 401k matching is at the end of the calendar year, robbing employees of retirement savings growth Out of touch management Bureaucracy makes it impossible to work cross functionally Internal politics makes it impossible to work across teams or silos Compensation packages are low for industry HORRIBLE work life balance

Pros

Some of the internal platforms have dev teams that would rival any other tech company. Can learn a lot if you end up on one of those teams.

Cons

Completely crap shoot as to if you land on a good team or a completely incompetent one. If you're on a bad one good luck. On a bad team you can expect vague work requirements and huge work loads with unmanageable delivery timelines. Also they're outsourcing to India heavily. Also also, most senior management is completely out of touch with reality and don't understand the tech stack they own (more you interact with them the more frighteningly obvious it becomes). HR is completely incompetent, of course, it's an open secret at the bank.
