Pros
It's a very relaxed and flexible environment. They understand student workers have incredibly busy lives and need a simple part time job to provide for that busy lifestyle. The management was generally very accommodating to fluctuating work schedules and midterms/projects etc. Plus there was no shortage of staff
Cons
There wasn't really an apparent method of advancing. Granted again this was a student position, but even then, there were a few options that allowed a worker to "advance" within the sector. There just never seemed to be a clear idea of what skills, attributes, or work values the management sought to promote these people. Training was also incredibly over simplified, with a lot of on the job training, which wasn't a problem if there had been an encouraging attitude of people willing to help, instead I felt there was a general feeling of distaste with anyone who knew less than you
