Pros
Benefits are decent and time off is usually not a problem. Very pretty campus in a nice town. Those things are not important me (personally).
Cons
I can't speak for the community at large because I don't know many people outside of my department. I have known 4 or 5 people who have left, and they have hated Babson by the time they got out. I read a few positive reviews here about the people who work at Babson, which surprised me because I find them to be terrible. The faculty are self-important blowhards and the students are rude and demanding. Some staff members do try hard but they are outmatched my faculty who get whatever they want and students who stop just short of wiping their shoes on the staff's backs. Under-performers in my department are not pushed at all, which makes doing my job even more difficult than it needs to be. My department, which I don't feel comfortable identifying is under new management and I literally do not know 1 person (out of about 60 or so) who is not miserable - and nobody outside of the immediate area knows it. Should a decision-maker find out about the morale in our group, I don't have any confidence they could improve it anyway.
