If you're someone who loves to keep busy and continuously develop new skills in all areas of the restaurant amidst the organized chaos, come give it a shot. Lots of personal development opportunities to be had and money to be made. Summer is slow season. Business picks back up just before Black Friday & being so close to the arena the FL Panthers keep us busy throughout hockey season.
Cons
No auto gratuity on walk-in large parties. During really busy shifts you might end up bussing & resetting the majority of your tables but are still required & expected to pay full busser tip- share based on sales. Too many chances given to a handful of team members excessively making mistakes and providing poor/mediocre service. Nobody is perfect but I'll never understand how consistently making several mistakes per shift is ever tolerated. It damages image, backs up the kitchen, kills your numbers and burdens the fantastic servers who show up every day happy to be of service.
