Pros
Gain experience working with vulnerable individuals and families. Collaboration with different disciplines and coordination of care with other providers. Linkage to community providers.
Cons
Clinical case management does not allow for seasoned worker autonomy. Supervisor directs all movement in cases. Court intervention is over utilized and time consuming. Although used as a shared accountability measure, good social work practices can engage a client all the same.
