Pros

If you're masochistic, this is the place for you. The products have some merit.

Cons

If you have a reserve of income for about two years, this may be an opportunity. The Tampa Bay offices are inconsistent with training, depending on the manager's whims. They have hidden sexual harassment violations that were severe with a new management team. The training is still erratic. Also, they have a number of ways they make sure that any sales you complete go to management or other office members. For example, your manager or UFT (Unit Field Trainer) gets 50% of all commissions that occur when you're with him. You must be accompanied by another member of the staff who also gets 50%. The Company takes 17% for technical and your training. They gives you nothing to speak of after any taxes. You bring your own computer/laptop. You're expected to sit and dial all day with performance calls about every 2 hours. The leads you generate are what you provide to other staff. The culture is harsh, negative and competitive. In winter, the calling room temperature was 70 degrees Fahrenheit. It's worse but there's no room left here.

Pros

Bankers provides award winning training, an elaborate product portfolio and a rapidly growing market. They leverage cutting edge technology: contact and LEAD management, electronic business submission, an incredible proprietary mobile application. I have 11 companies I can be appointed with - making sure my clients get the best program for what they NEED. A great opportunity to receive great training, work with great people and make a great living, all for helping people.

Cons

This opportunity is just that, an opportunity. Those who don't take advantage of it won't think it is a good one. Even successful people deal with a ton of rejection, thick skin is needed. With a 40% closing ratio, I still hear "No" more than "Yes".
