Pros
*Developing amazing relationships with consumers we serve. *The gratitude you receive from helping others. *Competitive Insurance/Benefit packages. *Hours ALWAYS available.
Cons
*Excessive work schedule. *Not enough support from supervisors. *Lack of experienced staff due to high turn over rate. *Specific management tend to target employees and this can destroy your morale in the workplace. *Not enough employees to maintain the homes. * I worked multiple positions in different departments. It seemed to be the same in the two departments I worked. High expectations with little to no training. *Personal/Professional issues not separated. *High volumes of gossip within departments. *HR does not listen to the needs of employees due to comradery between upper management. *Favortisim in the workplace. *Not enough room to grow. Positions that become available filled with preferred staff. Interviews are never held for upper level management positions. *Staff are not held to a higher standard. Although if you become a target you can be disciplined for the smallest offense. *Disgruntled staff can make for a negative work environment and can result in behaviors with the consumers and other concerning problems.
