Pros
Nice people, great benefits, free pasta & sauce! Preliminary feedback on new CEO is extremely positive, however he hasn't been there very long.
Cons
Seems like there is a lot of dead weight in some departments and extremely overworked employees in others. Management is inconsistent with how they run the office. Some are strict enforcers of HR policies, whereas others don't care as long as you get your job done. It creates a lot of friction between employees. Very limited growth potential. No matter how hard one works, there seems to be a lack of appreciation. I have noticed a dramatic increase in stress and tension company-wide. People seem run-down & burned out and there is no end in site. Budgets have been cut in every aspect of the company which has also led to a lot of stress. While the company seems to be doing well, salary caps mean you'll probably longer get a raise, and even small raises are few and far between. The main reasons people are leaving are because they feel underpaid (and they are - Barilla is known for not having competitive salaries), unappreciated and overworked.
