Pros
Decent pay no worry of layoff. The job itself is not bad. Management is the problem
Cons
Management is the worst at barilla. They don't even know who there best workers are they sit in there office and rarely set foot on the floor to know who's actually doing the best work. The new hr lady is horrible comes out on the floor once a year but when she does she doesn't have ppe on such as steal toe shoes. The 2 main guys in charge like to let go of good workers while lazy people disappear for hours. It's almost like the place encourages laziness. Oh and they play favoritism. I worked with a couple guys one had been with the company for 20+ years and the guy was horrible at his job made tons of mistakes and cost the company thousands in waste ect. He still has a job because he's a brown nose. This type of management should be fired but barilla allows it. Hr is useless at this place along with management. When you email them for help because you never see them they act like you are bothering them and you are the problem instead of listening and helping you. Super high turnover is because of management. They will soon end up with a union in there because of this. I should also say they don't honor longevity. They will tell you a new hire level 0 is just as good as you with all your experience as a senior operator and put you in a job where the new hire should be. They don't believe in seniority at barilla.
