Pros

Since starting at Bashas', I have learned: to be industrious, efficient, and a positive role model for the compant brand. I enjoy working at Bashas' because of the instant gratification of assisting customers with general questions, keeping the shopping area clean and free of any spills, greeting and thanking customers in a friendly, professional manner. I know that my hardwork makes our customers lives easier and enhances their shopping experience. At work, I’m looking forward to being a commercially aware person during work hours, what this means is that a business must provide exceptional service in order to succeed. I’m proud to work at Bashas' because it is a great company that has a high reputation in its community. It employs thousands of people and they have a total commitment to delivering outstanding customer service at low prices. Since 1932, Bashas’ has given back more than $100 million to the local communities it serves. As the grocer continues its give-back efforts, it strives to adapt to current needs and introduce new opportunities for shoppers, employees and vendors to join its efforts in giving back

Cons

The work environment is intense. Keeping up and not burning out requires quite some stamina and self awareness Favoritism makes it unfair and frustrating to move up on the company ladder Always on call, if you're on call you may be asked to come in on a short notice to the point where it is abusive and unappreciating.

Pros

Managers, Coworkers family like, company vehicle, permanent fulltime position with good benefits and decent pay; not a contract or 3rd party like a lot of IT jobs tend to be. You don't necessarily need a lot of IT qualifications to do this job just be familiar with pos equipment and able to follow knowledge base instructions and able to troubleshoot.

Cons

A lot of driving and working in grocery stores equipment can get dirty so gloves and or washing hands will be needed.

Pros

In most ways is accommodating with schedules. If you are in good graces, it can be an okay little source of income.

Cons

In my case, not allowed to get tips, you get paid less, blamed the most for things there were usually someone before deflecting their poor work ethic, and getting out over two hours late much of the time. They would schedule 5, sometimes 6 days a week of only 5:30-9:00PM to avoid letting me take the paid 15 minute breaks from 4 hours of work. During (2025) $14.7 minimum wage, the rest of the deli got on average (I asked 9 people) 16.10 for part time, than full times, non salary got $16.75, and $17.00. I only got only $15.40. In 2026 with $15.15 pay, I get $15.70, but everyone else gets about $16.40 now. They would give me a raise due to write ups, that relating to getting out too late, expect due to other shifts knowingly leaving work behind for me to do. A former manger would intermittently would shave 5-10 minutes off the clock out times, although only maybe a dozen times in a year.
