Innovative Company but Underwhelming Culture - Digital Media Specialist Basis Technologies Employee Review

I think one might find that their experience at Basis Technologies feels like a bit like a bait and switch. Through the interview process and in the onboarding process, the company claims (and I believe aspires) to be a place that has a positive team-oriented work environment and culture where everyone can succeed while working towards the best client outcomes possible. Unfortunately, I found that my employee experience was full of favoritism, unreasonable workloads, micromanagement, and lack of upward mobility. The goalpost for career development (lateral move, promotion, etc.) constantly changed, and there were never clear guidelines to ultimately advance at Basis Technologies. The compensation model for client services employees was also weighted so it was really difficult to predict income or earn compensation relative to the work being performed. Procedure and policy shifts were rolled out in an extremely chaotic and disorganized fashion, which contributed to confusion and burnout. For an entry- to mid- level employee, Basis Technologies is a really frustrating place to work - I often found the role robotic and truly felt like I was just a number.
