Pros

The Discounts are decent and if you are Part time, they will work with you on your schedule.

Cons

They exploit hard workers to the point of burnout. They’ll interview existing employees for job promotions except never promote the person. They say that customer service is important and meeting sales goals are important. None of those matter if the club charge card goal wasn’t met. It’s stupid. Micromanaging, distrustful, unprofessional managers. They say to ask for help. You ask for help and they never come or give different information than the last manager. They treat the workers like dirt and wonder why they can’t hire anyone. Word gets out people.

Pros

Bass Pro Shops has a strong team culture, and the people are one of the best parts of working here. I've had the opportunity to work with talented and supportive coworkers who are willing to collaborate and help each other succeed. The company also offers exposure to large-scale marketing initiatives and provides opportunities to work on a variety of projects across multiple channels and business areas.

Cons

The compensation and benefits package could be more competitive, especially when compared to similar marketing roles in the industry. Project timelines are often extremely aggressive, leaving little room for unexpected challenges and creating a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. While the work can be rewarding, the combination of tight deadlines and limited resources can make it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance at times.
