Pros
Outside breaks - you have to ask. For 1 hour (that part is. Honestly, it’s a new position. Maybe it gets better or worse. Enter at your own risk.
Cons
Overnight shifts at Bass Pro are brutal in warm weather. Corporate kills the AC after hours, and the store turns into a humid, airless box. Within an hour I was lightheaded and drenched in sweat. Instead of addressing the environment, management uses toxic tactics: one lead overheard a coworker say “it was hot last night” and immediately countered with a next-morning thermostat reading as “fact” to invalidate everyone’s experience. Any criticism gets met with dismissal, gaslighting, or “you misunderstood.” They care more about controlling the narrative than keeping humans safe. Unless you enjoy being told your body is wrong, find somewhere else.
