Pros

The only positive thing I can say about this company is the people you work the floor with are your best support.

Cons

There is no training at all for any position you work, you are thrown in and told to figure it out. When you ask for help its typically met with oh I dont know about that, or youre told to find it in the SOP which is like reading another language. Also dont expect to be paid a living wage here, a store that does almost $40million a year and they can't pay a fair wage to its employees.

Pros

Bass Pro Shops has a strong team culture, and the people are one of the best parts of working here. I've had the opportunity to work with talented and supportive coworkers who are willing to collaborate and help each other succeed. The company also offers exposure to large-scale marketing initiatives and provides opportunities to work on a variety of projects across multiple channels and business areas.

Cons

The compensation and benefits package could be more competitive, especially when compared to similar marketing roles in the industry. Project timelines are often extremely aggressive, leaving little room for unexpected challenges and creating a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. While the work can be rewarding, the combination of tight deadlines and limited resources can make it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance at times.
