Pros

advancement in a way. learn a lot, regarding licenses and regulations. almost always busy it seems. fun environment. i've been with this company almost 6 years, and i was only made full time in the last week actually. i've learned quite a bit, i started as a cashier, moved to customer service, to operator, and then the cash office and now am a full time cashier. i'm referred to as a mini-lead.

Cons

low pay for the amount of work put out. you work very hard and sometimes lunches and breaks are over looked. usually short staffed. for my department at least, there's no sign of acknowledgement for how hard you work over the holidays or just in general. there are a really high number of foot traffic in the holiday, classics, and just weekends. i put in a huge amount of hours every anniversary, and i was part time, and my pay raise was only like a $.025 more.

Pros

Bass Pro Shops has a strong team culture, and the people are one of the best parts of working here. I've had the opportunity to work with talented and supportive coworkers who are willing to collaborate and help each other succeed. The company also offers exposure to large-scale marketing initiatives and provides opportunities to work on a variety of projects across multiple channels and business areas.

Cons

The compensation and benefits package could be more competitive, especially when compared to similar marketing roles in the industry. Project timelines are often extremely aggressive, leaving little room for unexpected challenges and creating a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. While the work can be rewarding, the combination of tight deadlines and limited resources can make it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance at times.
