Pros

The conservative attitude of the company. The people were easy to get along with. Provided uniform made getting ready easy. The store is beautiful and we took pride in keeping it clean. The customers were great! This is Candyland to them. They WANT to be there. Knowledgable staff because most of them did it part time and worked in the departments they were passionate about.

Cons

The schedule. Nights, weekends, holidays. But, it's retail. What do you expect. Also, the pay for associates was low.

Good discount on in house brands

Cons

Toxic management runs rampant at most stores, multiple managers keep their jobs after saying racist or sexist things to both employees or customers. If you’re a good worker they expect you to do the work for your coworkers who are lazy / not doing their job and if you complain you’re the problem. Pay is a joke. Annual raises are never more than $0.20 a year, sometimes as low as $0.07.
