Pros

great discounts, if you're at all interested in any of the product available.

Cons

As a part time front end associate, the hours seem to come based on who you know, get along well with, and how much hiney you kiss. There are a lot of social circles and if you're not one of the "cool kids" consider yourself expendable. Don't tick the managers off! Your hours will plummet to frightening lows, with associates hired after you getting twice what you are, and excuses like limited available hours and "you just got cut" are frequent. Regardless of how hard you work and how satisfied the customers are, if you don't fit the clique, you may as well quit. (Mind you, I can only speak for my experience with my department manager, some of the other managers were very nice and helpful)

Pros

Good discount on in house brands

Cons

Toxic management runs rampant at most stores, multiple managers keep their jobs after saying racist or sexist things to both employees or customers. If you’re a good worker they expect you to do the work for your coworkers who are lazy / not doing their job and if you complain you’re the problem. Pay is a joke. Annual raises are never more than $0.20 a year, sometimes as low as $0.07.
