Pros

The management is right there on the floor helping you assist customers, ring people out, and helping rearrange when the departments need adjusted for incoming stock and/or marketing deals. The pay is fair for the industry at present. The stores are strategically placed to attract families on vacation, or those willing to travel to come out and spend significant amounts of money. generally speaking, this means the clientele is pleased to see the employees. The store is visually and aesthetically pleasing! Listening to a waterfall and creek running by all day definitely made the retail experience wonderful. Legitimately one of the best experiences I've ever had working in a retail environment!

Cons

Making the drive to the store was expensive. I did not have a very sound vehicle, and the wages were not enough to maintain the damages. I did not like that the store required employees to work weekends. there was no reasonable way to schedule a second job because of it. If the wages and benefits supported a livable lifestyle, it would not matter. Realistically, it costed me money to be employed with them.

Pros

Good discount on in house brands

Cons

Toxic management runs rampant at most stores, multiple managers keep their jobs after saying racist or sexist things to both employees or customers. If you’re a good worker they expect you to do the work for your coworkers who are lazy / not doing their job and if you complain you’re the problem. Pay is a joke. Annual raises are never more than $0.20 a year, sometimes as low as $0.07.
