Pros

BBW is certainly a fun environment to work in. The discount is great, especially since it applies to VIctoria's Secret. We get free products quite frequently and get the behind-the-scenes preview of new products that are coming out. The job is fairly easy, and requires lots of heavy lifting and trips to offsite which is a benefit to me since it keeps me moving and not just standing around all day. As a sales leader, you get a decent amount of hours as well. They also promote within the company a lot too. After 3 years as an associate I was asked to take over as a Sales Leader.

Cons

To make room for new products and fragrances, the company discontinues products A LOT. This leads to super angry customers! Sometimes it becomes difficult to try and show them a similar product/smell because many customers are stuck on what they loved. As a sales associate, especially during summer, it becomes difficult to get shifts. You're lucky to get 1-2 shifts a week at 4-5 hours a piece. I would recommend BBW as a "second" job, not a primary job if you're in need of money, although the hours do pick up during holiday. The call-in shifts arent the greatest, since you basically have to clear your schedule in case they need you to work.

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
