Pros

I have been working there for three years and I love it! The management is awesome, we are like a big family and it's always a fun day at work. It is not too serious and always treated respectfully by employees and employers. Great experience for fast-paced, customer service and sales floor. Of course ALL of this is solely based on the location and who is running it, because everyone is different, but the store I work at is amazing. I do most of the training for the new associates and I always get praised for my good people skills with associates and customers. People rarely quit this job but when they do, it's always really sad to see them go.

Cons

It can be a bit fast paced for some people and there is a lot of talking to customers that not everyone likes. You are required to use open-ended questions (while I sometimes don't always do that, and nothing bad happens) which not everyone is comfortable with. Sometimes managers have unrealistic expectations but when they aren't always met it's really not a big deal. Again, this is just the store I work at, so it isn't like this everywhere. My advice is don't go into a job having set expectations only to have them disappoint you. Try it out for yourself and see what works for you!

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
