Pros
Dedicated people. Good benefits. Varied technical opportunities. Battelle has a rich history of giving back to the community both financially and by allowing staff to schedule time, especially in the schools -- helping improve the overall educational experience for students in the communities Battelle is located in.
Cons
Management disconnected from the staff in terms of day to day operations. There are high aspirations for accomplishment, and good staff ready to pull in the same direction, but scattered direction is provided by management. The only focused message is "charge time to projects or else." It is truly amazing how much innovation happens in spite of that negative environment.
