Pros
Remote work, decent (but not great) benefits, good bonus structure for non-sales staff. Many business units = opportunity to learn about a wide variety of products. Lateral position moves between departments is encouraged when opportunities arise.
Cons
Travel and educational budgets were cut dramatically due to the pandemic, but now that the health rules are easing up a bit, we're not seeing a concurrent increase in travel and education funds. Probably due in part to the alleged spin-off of Bausch & Lomb, but no one is able to confirm that (very tight lid on information, as is appropriate). R&D staff in some business units is not held accountable for missing target delivery dates year after year, which puts pressure on other business units, including regulatory affairs, to pick up the slack. Compensation for long-time employees often lags significantly behind new hires, but executive management has indicated that there are no plans to rectify the discrepancies.
