Pros

1. Excellent benefits package: medical, dental, vision, 2 weeks paid vacation, 401k company match, etc. 2. Very stable company, company stock performed exceptionally well during the Great Recession; NYSE prices did not plummet. 3. Baxter is a top Fortune 500 reputable company to work for; it is highly respected among its competitors in the pharmaceutical industry.

Cons

1. Lack of respect from upper management. 2. The QC Microbiology department is very, very dysfunctional. There is always bickering amongst the coworkers and a deep lack of trust and respect. The supervisors are a laughable joke, very incompetent, patronizing, too bossy and domineering!! 3. Baxter Bloomington is a very STRESSFUL place to work, but I would venture to say that Baxter as a global company would be an outstanding place of employment. If can stay away from Baxter Bloomington, Baxter International might be a more pleasurable experience. 4. Also, the "redneck" culture of the employees makes it sort of an uncomfortable place to work...the people are kind of backwards in their thinking, the ironic part is that they don't even realize it!! 5. Raise are practically a joke!! Each year, the company touts its record sales and revenue turns around and offers employees nickle raises, what a botched joke! 6. High turnover rate!! the place is poorly managed, people are forced to work every other weekend, employees are treated like they don't matter from upper management, and receive low pay--simply put, stay away from Baxter Bloomington! Stay away and run, you will save your career by doing so!! 7. The HR Dept. is also a joke...no more needs to be said.
