Pros

Decent benefits, important products, seems to care about patients, some nice people to work with, interesting projects, international scope provides learning and good exchange.

Cons

As others have said, little opportunity for advancement or development of skill sets by working in other related areas. Unable to think creatively or take calculated risks. Opportunities and assignments kept by managers for themselves to grow or secure their own position. Only a few, favored anointed golden men or women get the attention, the assignments to cement their careers and escape the layoffs time after time. Management was totally deceptive about layoffs, kept them out of the news (although competitors make public announcements) and gave no notice whatsoever. Severance was minimal and other related requirements onerous. Although happening throughout the industry, many very smart, capable, productive, educated contributors with excellent reviews have been laid-off.

Pros

Was a great company 5 years ago. Declined heavily in the last 3 years. Way too many lay offs and restructuring.

Cons

Favoritism. Manager has no answers looks to someone they manage for answers. This person gatekeeps information and is overall toxic. Contradictory instructions. Managers will rely on bad information and then different managers will give you conflicting orders. If you try to go to the upper managers they will terminate you and lie about it. You could be asked to solve problems you were not hired for.
