Pros
Good place to get broad experience, good health benefits, easy to move into junior management position, stable company, no lay-offs, some very smart and dedicated people.
Cons
Management is totally top down, no employee development: Management view is stay where you are and be glad you have a job, VERY bureaucratic, lots of backstabbing and taking credit for your work, compensation has nothing to do with performance, promotions based on old boy network.
