Great place to work if you have no aspirations of being promoted. - Manager Baxter Employee Review

Baxter makes a big deal of being included on multiple "Best Place to Work" lists, but I'm not sure what metrics are being used for that. The salaries are well below market value and professional development is minimal. You can work hard and meet/exceed all of your targets, but the chances of promotion are slim to none--despite the rhetoric constantly spouted about rewarding and retaining talent. It's even more pronounced if you are a person of color. Don't believe me? Check and see how many Blacks or others are in leadership positions. Even those in middle management are fleeing to other companies en masse.
