Pros

It had a promising future until 2020, when it decided to acquire the Hillrom company and overpaid heavily, marking the beginning of the demise of the Baxter we once knew. Nothing positive to say after 2021

Cons

Horrible culture, fear tactics, silent treatments, whatever you say puts you on the "RIF" list, and your days are counted - pretty much a very toxic environment to work in. They are hiring primarily from India and Mexico. Because of a lack of talent (because the US is too costly), they allow both location employees to change their positions and teams at a simple "ask" - something US employees do not have an option of. Instead, US employees are kept until the RIF, and all the time is used to suck all the knowledge and install numerous bodies from India and Mexico to replace US resources. Naturally, talent and quality of work are not even comparable, but no one cares. Senior leadership only cares about what looks good on paper.
