Pros

Global company reputation – Baxter is a well-established name in pharma, adding strong credibility to your CV. Cross-functional collaboration – Opportunities to work with QA, QC, engineering, EHS, and external manufacturers. Hands-on growth – You may be thrown at the deep end with put proper training and support but if you are opistimic you can grow. Mentorship & leadership exposure – Access to senior leaders is handy to gain high level insight. Meaningful work – The role directly impacts patient safety, compliance, and product quality.

Cons

Poor communication culture – People tend to keep to themselves; there’s little open dialogue or support. Blame culture – If you make a mistake, colleagues and management are quick to pounce rather than support or coach you through it. Lack of expert training – For operators and even quality professionals, there aren’t real experts available to train or upskill staff. Huge knowledge gaps – Significant gaps in technical knowledge across teams make it harder to rely on internal expertise. Pace of progress can be slow – Projects often stall, and colleagues don’t always match your sense of urgency. Management gaps – Weak accountability, requiring you to constantly pick up slack and drive initiatives. Resistance to innovation – New ideas and smarter validation approaches aren’t quickly adopted. Workload & balance – Parallel projects stretch resources and can impact work-life balance. Career ceiling at site level – Growth beyond the local role feels limited, compared to European/global opportunities.

Pros

Remote Flexibility: The ability to work remotely was a massive benefit, allowing for great autonomy, daily independence, and the ability to focus entirely on deliverables without distraction. Product Portfolio: Working here provides excellent exposure to complex matrix operations,

Cons

Workplace Culture: The internal team environment can be highly toxic, fragmented, and lacking in genuine support or positive morale. There is an over-rotation on pointing out negativity rather than fostering constructive or collaborative growth. Management Style: There is a noticeable disconnect in leadership, with heavy systemic pressure and a cultural noise that can be difficult to navigate if you are not isolated from the main hubs. The level of micromanagement is exceptionally high, which stifles individual autonomy. Furthermore, cross-border or cross-functional communication with team members in other countries is heavily restricted and actively frowned upon, creating unnecessary operational silos.
