Pros
The pay is competitive, and the benefits are good. They offer great services to the community, and the team members usually work well together. There does some to be a degree of high school social behavior, which I believe is unprofessional in any job, but especially in health care.
Cons
It is difficult to get promoted, even with advanced education. Even if you take on extra projects to better the company, senior management will take the credit for your ideas and cut you out of the project. Policies and procedures change often, so when you forget, or make a mistake (because you just got used to the "old" way), you get called in to the office for a reprimand. Management also makes it a point to remind you that you are replaceable, which negatively impacts morale.
