Pros
Great benefits, lots of resources, lots of training, a lot of employee perks (i.e. the biggest loser weight loss challenges and smoking cessation classes), better staff ratios than other for-profit hospitals, a large hospital system that is easy to transfer from one location to another, large holiday party
Cons
While working there, staffing ratios did go up and they stopped being as generous with overtime. It wasn't always easy to take a lunch break, but it was required by management, so if you took care of your patients and went without your break you could get in trouble.
