Pros
- Market control - Mostly nice people - Some managers really look out for their teams, many problems are acknowledged, even if there is no solution.
Cons
- Disorganization - Too many roles, not enough product knowledge. This confuses clients and creates a disjointed experience for all involved. - Technology - Outdated + archaic systems make it difficult to serve customers. BV often lets products whither away and die, rather than fix them - i.e. *Curations*. - Pay/Benefits - On the low end for tech companies. Despite what most of the company thinks, not everyone lives in Texas without an income tax. Lack of 401k matching during COVID despite "record year" as reported by management. - Acquisition Challenges - Curalate team is dwindling fast one year post-acquisition. This has created many issues around functionality and a huge lack of product knowledge across BV. Curalate employees were also excluded from organization-wide bonus structure in June 2021, despite officially joining BV in September of 2020. All other employees qualify soon after starting.
