Pros
Opportunity to gain people skills working one-on-one with customers in a retail environment. It's a paycheck if you can't find anything else.
Cons
- Low pay that gets lower as you work. Hit your targets one month, they'll raise the targets. Miss the targets, they'll raise them yet again. They're all about setting unattainable numbers so they don't have to pay as much commission and get to keep more for themselves. They actually have a target for managers to keep commissions low. - Managers are bullies. They're such a juvenile company they believe fear creates results. - Half-truths. They're masters of disguise. They spend a lot of time analyzing how to communicate the things they're taking away from employees and spinning it to sound like it's a good thing. - Your life is of no concern to them. They make a month long schedule the week before it starts. You can't make plans, because you don't know when you'll have to work. - Very high turnover. The talented employees are smart enough to catch on and leave. The stupid ones are their favorite. Too many opportunities to work for better companies out there. Don't put yourself through the pain.
